Keyword Anchor Text Can Improve Your Backlinks

Whenever you write an article or blog post you should ensure that you include good anchor text backlinks. But what does the term anchor text mean? This text is simply the words that you use in order to get the person to clink on the hyperlink.

It is important to understand that the words that you place within the anchor text, can actually determine the ranking of the page within the search engines. Unfortunately many people tend to use the phrase click here, this in an extremely poor attempt at writing the link and will not help the page to get ranked.

The anchor link is therefore a good way to get your website to rank higher and should include the main keywords that relate to your website. You will need to research the keywords and be experimental when choosing your anchor text backlinks.

Anchor links tends to be under sixty characters in length. An important tip to remember is that you should not use the same anchor text over and over. This will look unprofessional, especially if you write a number or different articles and blog posts and use it a couple of times in each one. Your targeted audience will become bored of reading the same phrase, plus Google does not favour the repeated use of the same anchor text backlinks.

It is therefore important that you learn to diversify your links and make them appear more professional. It is also important that you avoid using too many links on your website, especially if you combine it with your SEO efforts as this can be easily regarded as spam. A couple of relevant backlinks is good enough to get your site recognised by the various search engines.

If you successfully use anchor text and search engine optimization then the search engines will pick up on this. They will then rank your website higher in accordance with the keyword that you are using. In doing so, you will be able to gain extra exposure and website traffic, which in turn will lead to a better level of income.

A good tip to remember is to think like a customer. If your website text and anchor text looks as though they have been just thrown into the blog post or article, then how can you expect them to take you seriously? Even the search engines will doubt your professionalism and rank you lower.
