What Is Google Plus 1 and How Will It Boost Your Rankings?

Google Plus 1 has been in the experimental stages for some time now but it's finally available and in effect. Google Plus 1 is in many ways Google's answer to Facebook's "Like" feature; it's their way of keeping up with the social search direction which search engines are taking.

How it works on the search engine level is that the Google Plus 1 button appears along every web page in the Google search results ONLY when you are signed in to a Google account. You can click on the plus 1 button is added to all web pages in the search results

Additionally, you can add the Google Plus 1 button to your website so that it appears on every post and page which you create. I recommend that you go ahead and do this because you'll accumulate many more pluses this way.

Think about it, if someone sees your web page in the SERPs, they're not going to give you a plus before they read your content. And if they like your content and you don't have the plus button installed on your page, they're likely not going to click the back button on their web browser so they can give your page a plus back in the SERPs. They're going to give you the plus after reading your content, so your plus button should be visible ideally at the bottom of your post/page or at the top.

Furthermore, don't forget about all of the people who don't find your web page/post through the search engines. What if they get redirected through a link from a referring site? In this case you definitely need that Google Plus 1 button on your individual page.

There are two obvious benefits of the Google Plus 1 button. One is that it will boost your rankings (assuming you have received pluses) as Google sees this as firsthand proof that a real and actual person has given a personal thumbs up approval of your content, thus making their job in determining what web pages should rank well for keywords that much easier. Keep in mind that while this is important, it's still just another piece of their multiple piece pie which is their ranking algorithm.

Secondly is that it will boost your traffic. Social proof can motivate people to check out a web page online, and the beauty of Google Plus 1 (especially while it's still in the early stages) is that not many people are using it effectively yet, so even just a few pluses of your web page can persuade someone to check out your web page, especially next to another web page on the same content which does not have any pluses.

It's very easy to add the Google Plus 1 button to your page. You can check out Google's page on it, or if you're using WordPress then you can just use one of the many plugins for adding it to your site which is what I do. I just added this plugin/button to my site, so I don't have enough experience with the particular plugin which I'm using to recommend it to you all or not, but just do a search for "Google Plus 1" from your plugins tab and you'll find a number of free options which will make it simple to add it to your site.

Google Plus 1 can help you rank, but so can getting Facebook likes on your pages, so check out these 8 ways to get more likes right now by clicking on this link for how to get Facebook likes.

Keyword Research - Essential Factor to Have Better Web Traffic

In web developing and designing, Keyword Research is one of the most important elements as it serves as essential factor that leading your website to be success. You need to pay more attention on this part if you want your website to be best seller having a large amount of traffic from web surfers even whatever you've considered to your website that you want it to be.

Keyword is mostly single word or set of words connected together into a phrase relating something. The success of one's website is depends upon what keyword or set of keywords will be used in it, how relevance the keyword is and how effective it has been used. The keywords will instantly connect to the main purpose and idea of certain subject. Therefore, the keyword will be use about cat's website should be "cat" or to be more complex, "Domesticated Persian Cat". This second phrase is acknowledged as long tail keyword, a specific description in a simpler phrase.

Selecting correct keywords for a certain website is very important in this field as it serves as the fundamental of website designing. Choosing for what are appropriate and germane keywords to use is a vital for you to position to the highest in the omnipresent search engines in this ever challenging world of online marketplace. You need to make sure that your approach is organized enough to have a highest possible chance in doing this job.

You need to plan carefully when constructing a certain website much more if you're into marketing or commercial division. Picking up appropriate keyword to use in your topic, theme and article is a part of this procedure. You should construct your website into accordingly and fairly comportment once the right keyword has been selected. A way of ensuring that every web surfers in around the globe has a way of finding your site if they are attracted in what your website is stating about - known as Search Engine Optimization. Being in the top of search engine list is the main objective in choosing a correct keyword search.

As SEO experts and many other people mistakes, they get the wrong impression about the supply and demand about the correct keyword search.

As for Demand, a lot of search engines such as Yahoo, Google and other are measuring the number of times that a user will search for the given keywords search. They have tools that establish on the demand of your selected keywords or how many web users are directly connected into your keyword or long tail keyword. On a monthly basis, they are supplying website owners an analysis with figure (and some geographical breakdown, as website owner's inclination) presenting the number of times that certain web surfer enter the selected keyword in the search box. This will state how effective and in demand your chosen keyword is.

As for Supply, by putting your keyword in search engine box like Google, it will show the lists of sites which they think are relevant for the given keyword. It can run into million results in several cases. You'll need to enter your keyword in quotes ("") if your chosen keyword is long tail (or perhaps will be). You will see the notably lower results of returned sites - which are excellent signs of "supply" - for your keywords. Your competitions are the other websites found as the result of the search.

Therefore, you'll see in this fact that using general term word -like "cat"- as keywords is not good if you want your website to be high ranking as it showing a lot of related niche about the search keyword because it has huge amount of demand as larger as its supply. In general, the higher the demand, the higher of the presented supplies.

For example, if your keyword is "Domesticated Persian Cat", and you research it, you'll see the rational number of demand with low supply (having about 4000 searches with less than 1000 competing websites). We would probably include this accurate keyword in your promotion.

This is just a simple introduction about keyword research that should be a fundamental part of your online business strategy. You must ensure that your keyword research is correctly founded and conducted before you move on even the accurate completion of selected keyword is a completely unlike subject.

Finding the correct keywords is a challenging task. The process not only gives you edge over your competitors on Internet but also decides how far you can grow in Internet Marketing over the years. Avoid the frequent errors in the whole process and know the secrets of keyword research.

Doing keyword research is a basic necessity to promote your website in the Internet as thus, generate more traffic for it. So for this, you need to understand what the definition of keyword is and what its functions are in the world of Internet. Keywords are the words which all the search engines use to look up and list out the relevant materials from the web in response to a certain query.

For example, if you type - "How To Play Baseball" in Google, it will pick up "Play Baseball" as a keyword and search all the relevant websites and rank them in an order on its result page. Keywords play the same kind of role from both the reader as well as the content owner's point of view. If the reader types in the correct words as precise way as possible, he would get a more meaningful and refined search results. Likewise, if the content writer puts in the correct keywords in his article, words which should usually come to a viewer's mind while querying for that certain topic, then his content is sure to rank high up in the results list when such a query is done.

However, many people do not understand how to identify the correct keywords and incorporate them effectively in their articles for maximum benefits. This is where the concept of search engine optimization (SEO) comes in. An article or any type of web content is optimized for showing up in a high position in the search engine results. This is done by optimizing it by the incorporation of the right keywords, using the correct number of times. There are certain tools like "wordtracker" and software to do so. Why Backlink Indexing Is Crucial To Your SEO Efforts

If you have created a large number of back links, and you cannot figure out why they are not improving your ranking with the big search engines like, Yahoo, or Bing, and Google, the reason is you need to do some backlink indexing to get the crawlers to see, and identify your links. You can set up links all day, but if you are not getting them indexed to where they draw attention, you are basically wasting your time.

The odds are only one in every two hundred of your links being found without any index help. Those are not good betting averages. You are going to have to be submitting those connector links day and night to win at those odds.

Everybody that has a web site on the internet that provides a service, or sells a product needs to have their site ranked in the top ten of the possibilities. So you want your keyword to cause the search engines to put your name on the top of their list, every time someone types it in. You started using search engine optimization to get this done.

Search engine optimization has taught you that by providing back links from other sites you can increase your popularity with the big guns, and inch your way to the top spot. You know that the proven method is to get some links on relevant sites, and to make sure everyone you have out there is still working. You are doing everything right, you just do not seem to be increasing your ranking. Why?

You simply need to get all of those you already have out there indexed so they start pulling the traffic to you. Sometimes the crawlers from the search engines need to be directed to your links. The SEO was right about you needing to direct that traffic your way in order to get those rankings up. They just did not tell you that you might have to give the links a little help to get recognized.

You can go to online web sites to find options for ways to get your links indexed. You will find that the price of the different things you need to get this job done is relatively inexpensive, when compared to the traffic it will provide to your web pages. Most of the things designed to help with this problem are simple to put to use.

The big search engines like Yahoo, and Bing, and Google, all have some sites that they go to on a more frequent basis than others. The options you will find for indexing your current links will allow you to get them noticed when the crawlers go to their most frequented sites. You could just create new ones to put out there, but you already have at least one hundred and ninety nine out of every two hundred that are just sitting there. To put your investment to work you need to make those get noticed. Backlink indexing can get you the recognition for the hard work you have already done.

Do you want to know exactly how to solve your problem with a low backlink indexing rate?

How to Choose Your Keywords

Either you are doing affiliate marketing or you have an e-commerce website, you need to find these keywords. Here are several tips that will help you in the process of finding, compiling, evaluating, and selecting your SEO keywords and key phrases, that you are going to succeed with.

What you need to do, is to choose a niche, then compile your list. This can be tricky because you know your business intimately. You might know what words best describe the product or services you promote/sell, but the chances are that you don't think the exact way as your customers. That is when keyword research comes in. Apart from asking people what keywords they would use to find several products or services, you can always use a keyword suggestion and analysis tool.

Always avoid extra spaces, hyphens, periods, apostrophes, quotation marks, and other symbols such as ($,%,^,$,%,&,$,$). Instead use synonyms and plurals in addition. This is exactly what keyword suggestion tools will let you do a lot easier : Find the most profitable keywords in your niche by 'spying on your competition".

Once you have the root keyword that best describes your product or service, then you simply use the keyword research tool that will automatically generate thousands of keyword phrases for you instantly. If you've never used such a tool, then you must try it out. Keyword research tools save you hundreds and hundreds of hours that you would spend researching on your own, they effectively let you select the most profitable keywords, they even spy on your competitor's PPC campaigns and lets you replicate their success.

Look for the long tail keywords. Usually between 3 - 10 or even more keywords in one single phrase. The reason for this is simple. The longer the key phrase the less competition on it, and what that means, is exactly what you're looking for, to rank high for some specific keywords, if it is possible to rank #1 for one single keyword phrase that has around 30 to 50 thousand monthly searches on Google alone, then you are looking at some serious customers.

As the Internet evolved people slightly changed their habits of using the search engines. You might not believe it, but there are even 10 - 20 keyword phrases with thousands and thousand of monthly search, these are usually questions such as "What is the best natural treatment for anxiety and panic attacks". This keyword phrase has 11 keywords and it has well over 5000 monthly searches.

Now that you know the basics, take a step ahead and use a keyword research tool. Keyword suggestion software such as SEO Elite and WordTracker are very helpful in finding the popularity of your keywords and phrases, and will even turn additional keywords and variations. For example, if you would be selling fat loss products and you only have the key phrase 'weight loss' on your keyword list, then you must be more specific in your description, or you might loose customers.

Lets have a quick look at what keywords are related to "weight loss" :

weight loss: Search Volume: 9,140,000

Related keyword phrases you should also consider :

fast weight loss : Search Volume: 201,000

healthy weight loss : Search Volume : 49,500

weight loss programs : Search Volume : 165,000

weight loss diet : Search Volume : 450,000

These are just a few keywords, of thousands available, that would target the exact same customers, interested to find weight loss products or information about losing weight. Using additional keyword phrases that the keyword research tool returns, will not only increase your chances of getting more potential customers but also rank higher in the search engines for some gold-mine keywords.

Which keyword suggestion tools are the most effective?

Most of them promise high-end results for your optimization strategies, however only a few of them are effective. I've tested more than 10 keyword research and analysis tools over the past two years, and I can say I'm very satisfied of Wordtracker, SEO Elite and Micro Niche Finder. Feel free to read my complete reviews of these three products below.

Overall I find Wordtracker, SEO Elite v. 4.0, and Micro Niche Finder to be the best Keyword suggestion tools [http://www.affiliate-secrets.info/affiliate-secrets/] currently out on the market.

The Truth About Backlinks and Getting on the First Page of Google

Those of us that make our living on the internet know that page rank in the major search engines are important. We also know that Google is the king of all search engines and getting on the first page of Google increases your chances of getting targeted visitors to your web sites.

Search engine optimization is something that should be balanced and you should have many different avenues for Google and the other search engines to find you. I'd like to cover the backlink theories.

Many people think that the more backlinks you have, the higher in the rankings you will be and the search engines will eat that up. In a sense, that is true and in another sense that is false. I own about 15 sites and one has about 33,000 backlinks. No kidding, it's got more backlinks than Bill Gates has dollars but it's not on the first page of Google.

In this particular instance, that's not much of an issue for me because I get about 400 unique visitors daily and the site generates a nice little revenue stream for me and it only takes about 20 minutes a day to maintain.

I have another site that has only about 800 backlinks and it's on the first page of Google for several keywords. It's a competitive niche and this site makes me some real nice money... time to manage about an hour a week.

What's the difference? The quality of the backlinks. The first site I talked about was one I bought all set up and the previous owner thought that all those back links would get him rankings. Not.

The second site I set up and developed... it's less than 5 months old, is a PR2 and is on the first page of Google for 8 different keywords because of the quality of the backlinks. I have it linked to high PR sites using those competitive keywords and my url imbedded in the keywords.

Much less work, much better ranking on Google and much more revenue because of the quality of the backlinks, not the quantity.

Want your site on the first page of Google?

Be willing to spend about 15 - 20 minutes a day putting your information on PR5 sites and next thing you know, you'll be ranked on the first page of Google!

Rank High On Google: How To Increase Google Ranking

Welcome back, I'm George Tiganus and today I will tell you some things about how to rank your website higher on the first page of Google search results. Ranking high with the search engines is what brings the traffic to your website, and if your website shows up in the first results for the keywords people are searching for, this is good for business!

Traffic means money!

So let's go ahead and briefly talk about the SEO concept. SEO is the acronym for Search Engine Optimization, and that's what gets you the high ranks on Google and other search engines. This kind of optimization depends on various aspects, and we will discuss some of them, so that you can understand what they mean and how you can make them work for you.

If I were asked which is the most important factor to improve your Google Rankings, I would definitely say BACKLINKING.

But what exactly is backlinking?

First up, think about some restless machines always scrutinizing the information on every website in existence.

This is exactly what the search engines are designed to do. They look at the content of websites and rank them by relevance of that content to the website's keywords. But there's much more than just the information you have on your website's pages. For every subject you can imagine, including the one your website is about, there could be thousands or millions of other sites.

One other sign that a website relevant to the subject it deals with is if it's referenced externally via links. Out of two sites on the same topic, the one that is referenced through more links over the internet will be considered more helpful for the users looking for info on that topic.

These are called, incoming links, inbound links or backlinks and they refer people from other sites to yours. The more quality your website has, the more backlinks you are supposed to get.

Google thinks of a link coming from some other website to your website as a vote and this is why backlinking plays a huge role on the way Google sets their rankings.

Think about Wikipedia and how they always show up within the first results for almost any search. Why do you think that is? 75,000,000 domain backlinks!!! (I know it is insane, but it's TRUE!)

So now you know the importance of backlinks, but it is more important to know HOW to get them for your own website.

There are several ways to do that and the most common are:

- reciprocal links - links between two websites to ensure mutual traffic
- forum links - using signature links on forums
- commenting on blogs - go to high ranked blogs and add a link to your comment
- links from other pages, such as video sharing websites, article directories etc.

Naturally, the more such backlinks your site has,the higher it will be ranked on search engines. But pay attention, this doesn't mean you should buy some automatic tool and just get 1000 backlinks per day. Bulding up backlinks at an unnaturally high rate or speed is suspect and Google has a very low tolerance of spam, going to such lengths as penalizing or even banning websites!

Google Page Rank Explained

Page Rank (PR) is an algorithm used by Google to compute the relative importance of a particular webpage on the internet and assign it a numeric value from 0 (least important) to 10 (most important). This value is calculated through an iterative analysis of the backlinks to the webpage. If webpage A links to webpage B then webpage B would receive 1 "vote" towards their page rank.

Fact: Page Rank is calculated on a webpage by webpage basis not on a website by website basis

The importance of the webpage casting a vote and the total number of outgoing links on the webpage casting a vote are the primary factors which determine how much "voting share " this webpage will transfer to each of the outgoing links on them. Google calculates a webpage's page rank by adding up all of the "voting shares " for that webpage through an iterative calculation.

Page Rank is one of the factors Google utilizes to help determine their Search Engine Ranking Positions (SERP's). It should be noted that this algorithm is only one part of their overall ranking scheme and not necessarily the most important one as many website's would have you believe. The general internet user has no idea about the concept of page rank and are unable to tell what a particular page's PR is unless they have the Google Toolbar installed (or use an online page rank checker). Since page rank is part of Google's search ranking algorithm an understanding of the concept is still important for any webmaster concerned with getting traffic to their site.

Fact: Not all links pointing to a webpage are counted as votes for that webpage

As soon as Google introduced the concept of page rank unsavory webmasters developed ways to manipulate the rankings. These webmasters began creating web pages with the sole purpose of increasing the amount of incoming links pointing to their website.

Common Black Hat SEO Techniques:

  • Link Farms - pages containing long lists of unrelated links set up for the sole purpose of manipulating search engine rankings and page rank
  • Doorway Pages - orphaned webpages either on the same website or distributed throughout the internet stuffed with keywords containing links to the offender's site. Used to artificially inflate the back link count for a website.
  • Free For All Links Pages - a type of link farm where, as the name implies, anyone is free to post their link. Once a valuable way to spread the word about your website, abuse through auto submissions has rendered these sites worthless and are now viewed as search engine SPAM.
  • Automated or Hosted Link Exchanges - sites that offer to provide "hundreds" of back links to your site instantly. Generally you will have to install some html code on your website to display their directory and in return anyone else who has this code installed on their website will be displaying your link. This is a case where "if it sounds too good to be true it is". The search engine's are wise to this technique and watch for unnatural "spikes" in the number of backlinks pointing to a website. In actuality it is possible to inflate your page rank with this technique but if the search engine's wise up to your practices (and they always do eventually) you risk being dropped from their index or black holed in their rankings.

How is Page Rank Calculated?

When Google introduced the concept of page rank they published the algorithm they were going to use to calculate it. The formula in it's current form is known only to the engineers at Google but it is fair to say it closely resembles the following formula.

PR(A) = (1-d) + d(PR(t1)/C(t1) + ... + PR(tn)/C(tn))

While at first glance this equation can seem daunting, in actuality the concept is not that hard to understand. Let's take a minute to break down the formula and see what conclusions can be drawn.

PR(t1)...PR(tn) - the page rank (PR) of each page from page t1 to tn. (each value of t represents 1 link to webpage A)

C(t1)...C(tn) - the number of outgoing links (C) on each page from page t1 to tn

d - damping factor

Quoting from the original Google Page Rank white paper:

The parameter d is a damping factor which can be set between 0 and 1. We usually set d to 0.85.

Knowing what these parameters mean and knowing the value of the damping factor we can simplify the formula from above:

PR(A) = 0.15 + 0.85*(A "share" of the PR of every webpage linking to page A)

The "share" each webpage passes to webpage A can be computed by dividing the Page Rank of the webpage linking to page A by the number of outgoing links on that page. Each outgoing link on that page would receive an equal voting share from the total available page rank of the page containing the outgoing link. The total available page rank each webpage has available to transfer to outgoing links is a little less than the total page rank of that page (PR of page * 0.85) which can be easily derived when the damping factor is known.Implications

Having a basic understanding of the algorithm we can now draw a few conclusions about page rank and it's implications to your website. For instance, it is very possible to have a link on web page X that has a high page rank transferring less page rank voting shares to your website than a link on web page Y with a lower page rank.

How is this possible?
Let's analyze an example:

Page X - page rank 4, outgoing links 10

Page Y - page rank 8, outgoing links 100

Page X would transfer 0.85(4/10) = 0.34 page rank voting shares to each outgoing link

Page Y would transfer 0.85(8/100) = 0.068 page rank voting shares to each outgoing link

Even though Page X has a much lower page rank value, due to the fact that the number of outgoing links on Page X is so much smaller than on Page Y it actually transfers more page rank voting shares to each outgoing link than Page Y .

Pages with no links back to them would still have a modest page rank value of 0.15 derived from the (1-d) portion of the equation. It is important to note that while this value holds true according to the equation, only Google engineers are privy to the knowledge of whether actual page rank voting share is transferred in this scenario. Google could easily say that pages with no incoming links transfer a page rank voting share of 0 with a click of a mouse and no one would know for sure except them.

Fact: The Google Toolbar displays Page Rank as a base 10 log scale that is not the "actual" result of the Page Rank calculation

The average page rank of all pages in the index is 1. It is possible to have an "actual" page rank value in the millions or much smaller than 1 using the page rank formula but the Google toolbar only displays integers from 0 - 10 on it's pr meter. Only Google knows how the scale is split up and where the basepoints for each level are. For example, it may take an actual page rank of 10,000 using the formula above to achieve a page rank of 4/10 on the toolbar scale.

Page Rank in Complex Networks

The example above does not actually duplicate a real world example since it is only computing the page rank "voting share" of the ffa page in an idealized situation where the page rank of the page is already known. In complex networks with links in and links out of webpages the actual page rank for a webpage cannot be known due to the interdependencies each web page has on one another to calculate their page rank.

Think of it as a "chicken and the egg" situation. The problem can be solved by taking a best initial guess for the page rank value of each webpage in the network and plugging it into the page rank formula. The results of these calculations are then used to calculate the next incremental page rank values for the webpages in the network. This calculation is repeated over and over again until the page rank value approaches a limit. This limit is then the actual page rank for that page. In a complex network like the internet finding the page rank for all webpages can take millions of iterations.

Click here [http://www.iprcom.com/papers/pagerank] for more detailed examples and an online page rank calculator

It is also worth noting that when a webpage transfers page rank voting shares to another webpage the page rank of the contributing page is not reduced in any way. There is no actual page rank transfer, only a weighted "vote" is passed to the outgoing links.

Links on webpages with a high page rank and little or no other outgoing links on them but yours will provide the best opportunities to improve your page rank (if that is your goal and it shouldn't be, link for traffic not pr). Make sure to work on your site content and design before approaching other webmasters for links. The bottom line is you need to have a site worth linking to in order to get people to link to it.

Blog Backlinks - How to Improve PageRank With Google For Your Online Business

Getting Google backlinks to your site is more important for your page rank than your outgoing links. You want high ranking sites to link to your page or site for Google SEO to sit up and take notice.

So how do you get them?

First... let's define "Backlinks" or "Incoming links."

Definition: Direct links to your websites through other sites. This is called Off-page SEO, or links from other websites back to yours to gain popularity with search engines.

Getting backlinks from sites that have high readership or ranking, are the sites you want to link to your site or pages.

Here are a few simple methods of how to get backlinks that are high in quality and will help to improve your page rank.

EzineArticles: EzineArticles get thousands of viewers a day visiting their site. They have extremely high Google page rank.

Write an article and have a link that points back to a page on your blog site. When a reader clicks the anchor text in your signature area, it then becomes a quality link coming from EzineArticles. This strategy is excellent for a new blog.

Squidoo: Build a simple Squidoo Lens and have it link to a page on your blog that contains similar information. Squidoo is an authority site that will help you improve your page rank backlinks.

HubPages: HubPages is much like EzineArticles. The incoming links to your blog will be high quality links. Tip: Use only original content in HubPages. You cannot re-purpose content from other sites or sources.

YouTube: Ahhh! One of my favorites! I have 28 videos that point to pages on a blog that I have in another niche. Videos have served me well in sending me high quality backlinks from other sites who have used one of my videos on their site.

Get busy and produce a video that you can point back to your site. Point an anchor text link in your description box back to your blog. When folks click on it, you will get a superior incoming link from YouTube.

10 Effective Ways to Build Blog Backlinks

Do you want to boost your blog in Google?! You can give your blog a huge kick by backlinking with other websites. I know this isn't new news, but so many people forget to build strong and relevant backlinks to their websites. I'd like to give you some important tips, and helpful ideas to give your blog that kick it needs!

Here's 10 tips to build backlinks to your blog:

1. Search Out A BackLink Tool

In order to build backlinks for your blog, you'll need a backlink tool or service that will help you find backlinks. There's lots of great tools out there to cut down the workload of finding backlinks. BackLink Agent is easy to use, you just enter your keywords and select the type of links you want to find - and BackLink Agent does all the work for you!

2. Relevant & Related Websites

Now that you're finding backlinks for your bog, there's two types of backlinks for your blog - and I call them the two R's:

Relevant & Related.

It's very important to only link to relevant or related websites. If your blog is about Water Skiing and you're backlinking with websites that are about Body Building - there isn't a relevant or related connection. Visitors will be turned off because they don't find any relationship between your blog and the website they just came from.

3. Reputable Websites

Reputable - the 3rd 'R' that often gets forgotten. Building backinks to your blog can be all for nothing, if you link to websites that aren't reputable. Let's use a neighbourhood analogy - you have a nice house, you maintain it, paint it, keep you yard clean - it should be worth some nice money. But the neighbours have burned out cars in their front yard... Now the neighbourhood doesn't look so hot. Your website can do the same by linking to websites that aren't reputable.

How do you tell a website is reputable? Ask yourself these questions:

- What's your initial impression of the website? Is it eye catching, or ugly?

- Is the information relevant, well written?

- Would I buy from this website?

- Check the website's Alexa rating (www.alexa.com), under 1 million is alright

4. Directory Sites

If you want to build blog backlinks then getting your blog backlinked in a directory is a hot idea. Directories like www.DMOZ.org for example have a really deep category & subcategory system - so you can get really specific about where you want to build your blog backlink.

5. Add/Submit Url Sites

As mentioned before, BackLink Agent has a tool to help you find websites that accept url submissions. So what you would do is search with one of your keyword phrases, like 'jet boat water skiing' and see what websites are available. Now you can submit your url to them and create a backlink for your blog.

6. Related Forums

Forums can be an amazing means for building blog backlinks. What you do is use BackLink Agent to search out related forums. I recommend adding your blog url as a backlink in your forum signature. Then every post you make has a backlink to your blog. A good forum post can send 100s of visitors to your blog in a week, or even a day!

7. Competition Spy

A little bit of competition can be a good thing - but the Internet can provide 1000s of competitive websites with a few keystrokes. What if you were able to see the backlinks that your competition have for their websites?

BackLink Agent has a way cool tool to sniff out competition backlinks. All you do is enter your competition's url (with http://) in the search field and pick 'Competition Spy' and see all the links that the website is linked to. The Internet is one big backlink, so it's a great way to find more backlinks for your blog.

8. Give Your Article Or Lens An Added Boost

If you've written a article and want to get it indexed faster by Google or ranked higher - backlinking your blog to your new article will help it out! Just write a teaser article, under 300 words and add a few links to the new article in your blog post.

9. Page Rank 7 Or Higher

I go by the Rule of 7 - Google page rank of 7 or higher is a great site to backlink your blog to. Less than 7, it's alright but still do #3 on it.

10. Ping Your Backlinks

Once you've sniffed out backlinks for your blog with BackLink Agent, ping your articles or blog posts (or blog RSS feed). Just do a Google search for 'blog ping service' there's lots out there.

So there you have it! Now you're educated and you can go find backlinks for your blog, website or landing pages. Backlinks are the lifeblood of promoting your website. Building backlinks can be so easy, and benefit your blog!

Try BackLink Agent for Free Build backlinks to your blogs or landing page and boost your placement in Google! BackLink Agent can help you find 100s of related & relevant backlinks. Rob lives in British Columbia Canada and has run an IT company since 1994.

The Best Way To Get Backlinks Consistently

If you start a business online then you know that getting hosting, setting up your website, and going live with the payment processor are only part of what you need to do. And the thing is, what I just described is not even the most difficult part although for some it may seem like it is. Once you've done that, you need to consistently work on getting targeted traffic, prospects and customers to your website ready to buy.

And you need to be able to do this on a consistent basis, otherwise your business will fail. Of course, there's so much information out there on various traffic generation methods that it's easy to get overwhelmed quickly. However, one thing that you should understand is that there are ways around any traffic problem you may be having. If you don't have a budget, then there are several different free methods that you can use. One of these is backlinks.

However, the problem now is how to get them consistently. After all, for someone this new, this can be a very daunting question. However, the one way that you can get good backlinks and get them on a consistent basis is by building them yourself. In reality while this may seem like a a lot of work, it is not. Consider for a moment that every time you place a piece of content on a social media website, on YouTube, or in the article directories, or even on your own blog, that is a backlink. As such, the more content you build more backlinks you will have. And you can do this on whatever schedule you see fit. Rather than paying for backlinks, the fact that you build yourself means that they will grow naturally and be of high quality.

While this may take a little bit more time than simply purchasing them, doing it this way means that you will get good quality backlinks and as such have a good quality ranking in the search engines.

Top 10 Webmaster SEO Mistakes And How To Avoid Them

One of the biggest misconceptions with new webmasters is that you need to hire an "expert" in SEO to achieve high rankings. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is not rocket science. You don't need a degree or a doctorate in IT or marketing to apply effective SEO techniques. There are, however, several rookie mistakes that are made by many new webmasters. This guide focuses on these mistakes and explains how to avoid them.
Mistake #1 - Poor Keyword Analysis (or non-Analysis)
The Mistake: You've found a niche for a website that fills a void that has been missing online for years. You build your website and fill it with all kinds of great unique content and finally launch it to the world! Traffic starts off slow... and stays that way for several months and you're left perplexed on why people aren't finding your site.
The Reality: You've launched your website too soon, without doing proper keyword analysis. Keyword analysis is the process of analyzing the keywords search engine users have been searching on the most that best matches your niche. The goal is to target keywords that get the most searches and have the lightest amount of competition. Before you launch your website (or even write content), proper keyword analysis is a must! It's suggested you open an account with Wordtracker and begin your keyword campaign today. Word Tracker will allow you to view the number of times a keyword was searched in any of the major search engines and will provide reports on the competitiveness of that keyword. With some clever keyword analysis you can broaden the reach of your website by zeroing in on those niche and non-competitive keywords.
Mistake #2 - Keyword Stuffing
The Mistake: As an overzealous newbie you've read various threads and guides that state the importance of highly-targeted keywords appearing on your WebPages. In an attempt to gain high-rankings for a specific keyword phrase you place them several dozen times throughout your text. By the time your done with your aggressive keyword stuffing you're left with a page that has 40%+ density of your keywords that the search engines are going to love. Your proudly pat yourself on the back and give a good "atta boy!" for a job well done!
The Reality: Congratulations! You've just created a non-sensical page and applied the black hat marketing technique known as keyword stuffing all at the same time! Keyword stuffing, for those who may not be aware, occurs when a web page's meta tags and content are loaded with a particular keyword or keyword phrase in a repetitious manner. Not only does this practice result in pages that are non-readable to humans, it also raises a red-flag to the search engines. Keyword stuffing may get you higher Search Engine Results Placement (SERPs) in the short term, but it will only gain your site a bad reputation with users in the long term. It may even get your site penalized or (even worse) banned from the search engines.
Mistake #3 - Identical Meta Data For Eevery Page
The Mistake: You create your home page and fill your META data tags with some nice keywords and a very well worded description that is also search engine friendly. You're home page serves as a template, so you just propagate the same content from the header into every new page you implement without ever altering the content of the META tags to correspond to the content of the new pages.
The Reality: By applying the same META information to every page on your website, you are doing yourself a great disservice! Despite what some people think, META tags and META descriptions are still important! For every page on your website you should have a new set of META keywords and new META descriptions that are relevant to the content of the new page. By doing this you are optimizing for potentially MORE hits to your website as users who search for information may land on these pages as a result of your META updates.
Mistake #4 - Using Images in Place of Text
The Mistake: Wow! Those images your web designer just created sure do look pretty! Much prettier than plain old text!
The Reality: Yes, they do look pretty and I'm sure your web designer did a fine job on them. They've also managed to loose you potential customers at the same time, so make sure to send them a nice thank you letter. The reality is that images in place of text is a terrible practice and one that you really need to avoid. The content of your website plays a very hefty part in determining how well your website will place in SERPS. Spiders are smart, but they are not able to read the text contained in images. By placing text in images you may loose out on your pages being indexed and miss out on some keyword counts. This will loose you potential traffic, not to mention that images load much slower than pure text (and you'll probably have to pay your web deisgner every time you have a text change need). You'll find that you can achieve an almost identical appearance and reduce load times by applying style sheets. Web designers are good at what they do, but often their reliance on flashy images can be a huge detriment to your website.
Mistake #5 - Inappropriate URL Anchor Text
The Mistake: Trying to grab the attention of a user on your site you use a nice spiffy bold-faced 24point font with the words "CLICK HERE!!!" (and for added affect you use the blink style). Yep... that will get their attention all right!
The Reality: Besides the fact that you've just gained some NEGATIVE attention (talk about tacky) you've also managed to create a 100% irrelevant link by providing garbage anchor text! Internal linking is important for proper SEO, and providing relevant anchor text makes all the difference. Instead of using anchor text that reads "Click here" or "click me", provide relevant text to that describes the destination page of the link. For example, when linking to an internal customer support page you want to avoid setting your anchor text as "Click here for customer support". A proper set-up would be "Please visit our customer support page if you have any questions." In the second example you've created relevant anchor text for the link and increased the readability at the same time. Search engines spiders will love you for it!
Mistake #6 - Expecting a Miracle
The Mistake: Online businesses are booming and the potential is unlimited as more and more users jump onto the information super highway every day. In an attempt to cash in and make some very easy money, you hastily create a couple websites with little content and not much substance. You put your feet up and sit back and wait for the cash to start flowing in as people flock to your sites!
The Reality: If only it were that easy... we would all be millionaires! I'm sure most people have heard the movie quote "if you build it, they will come". Well, that most certainly does NOT apply to online websites. The simple reality is that people are not going to just stumble upon your website. Even if you've done a lot of keyword analysis and applied proper SEO to your web pages, chances are you are not going to get any substantial traffic. You need to be one part webmaster, one part salesman, and one part marketing expert to succeed in an online business. Think of it like this. If you've lost a recent job and sit in your house and never submit your resume, never conduct interviews, and never market yourself... do you really think your phone will ring with a job offer? You need to hit the market, promote yourself as the best in your field, and peruse every possible opportunity that is presented to you. It's the same way with online businesses.
Mistake #7 - Ignoring The Importance of Links
The Mistake: You've set-up your website and have been getting some decent traffic thanks to your paid marketing campaigns and off-line marketing. Several webmasters with competing sites email you and ask for link exchanges or offer you a one-way link (perhaps in exchange for writing an article for their site). Sitting up on your high-horse you turn them down. After all, why would you want to help a competitor?
The Reality: This is a huge mistake. By not participating in link exchanges (or more importantly, securing one-way links) it's not your competitor who will be hurt, it's yourself! A very heavy component in search engine algorithms in determining the search engine rankings is the number of links a website has pointing to it. Think of each link as a vote of support. As your website gains more votes, its level of popularity is considered to be higher by the search engines. Of course, not every link exchange or one-way link can be a good one. You need to make sure to pick your link partners based on relevance to your own website category. For example, if your website is dedicated to the PC game World of Warcraft, you wouldn't want to link to a website that sells woman's shoes. On the other hand, if a webmaster approaches you for a link exchange to his website that provides hints and tips to PC games then that would be a very relevant link. One-way links are perhaps the most difficult to get as very few webmasters are willing to provide an outgoing link without getting something in return, especially websites that have a high PageRank. To gain one-way links you have several options. The first is to pay for them. When paying for a one-way link it's suggested you go after only those with high PageRank (PR) as they will be weighted heavier than those with low PR. Another option is to sign-up for one-way link directory services such as Free Links Direct. Two other strong options are to write articles and press releases and then submit them to article and press release directories.
Mistake #8 - Not Filling Pages With Enough Relevant Content
The Mistake: Writing content can be very time consuming and a real chore when you're already balancing your full-time job and family on top of your website(s). Since the number of pages on a site has a direct correlation to the weighting you gain in SERPs, you add several dozen pages with only a few sentences that are keyword rich for each page and then throw in an image or two to fill the white space.
The Reality: Well, the good thing is you've created several keyword targeted pages in your site rather than stuffing all of it into one page. That's the good news. Now the bad news. By only adding a few sentences to each page you are killing your chance of being picked up in search engines and providing very little value to your users at the same time. It's better to have a few pages with high quality content than a lot of pages with little to no content. It really is a quality vs. quantity thing. The best suggestion is to ensure each page contains at least 250 words at a minimum. By adding more words you can increase your keyword density and also provide users with something valuable to read.
Mistake #9 - Not Creating or Updating Sitemaps
The Mistake: Sitemaps are a pain. Not only do they require constant updates every time a new page is updated, but they just look plain ugly and don't offer much value to your users! Sitemaps are a waste of time.
The Reality: Sitemaps are the blueprint to your website. Without these blueprints, search engine spiders are going to have a difficult time crawling your site. Your goal is to get every single page you've created indexed by all search engine crawlers. Providing a sitemap to the crawlers is an easy way to ensure they will crawl each page in your website (that's included in the sitemap). Sitemaps also serve a practical use to your users by presenting an overview of your site navigation tree. Some users prefer jumping to a sitemap page for quick navigation as the various pages are not obscured behind collapsible menus. With a little work, you can present your sitemap in a manner that is both pleasing to your users and easy to crawl for the search engines.
Mistake #10 - Changing Filenames or Removing Pages of an Established Website
The Mistake: Your site has been going strong for a couple years. Traffic is outstanding and you're finally ranking in the top 10 in the major search engines. Only problem is your site is beginning to look dated and you want to clean up some old content. You decide to really clean the attic and remove old pages, rename most of the existing pages, and change the overall site structure completely around. When the dust settles you're left with a trim and very well organized website with easy to read file names.
The Reality: That clean-up may have just killed your website (at least, for the short term). Perhaps one of the biggest mistakes a webmaster can do is to remove or rename existing WebPages, especially when you have a well established website. What you're doing is essentially removing your website from the search engines. For example, let's say you have a webpage on your site about Puppy Grooming. It's an old page that was there since your site launched a few years back. From your knowledge, it's a page that doesn't get much traffic so you decide to delete it in the cleanup. What you've just done is created a hole in your website. If a user searches under Puppy Grooming and sees your page listed (it will still be indexed and in the cache of search engines) what do you think will happen when they click the link? Most likely they'll see an ugly 404 Page Error. That's not exactly what you want the user to see. It takes a user less than a second to determine if they want to visit your site so first impressions are everything in this business. More importantly, you're throwing off the search engines that are caching and indexing your website! You risk going from top-ten placements on some pages to falling off the search engine results page altogether. Doing site cleanup of existing pages needs to really be a well thought out process to avoid any potential pitfalls.

This list wasn't compiled by pulling ideas from thin air. It's based on a foundation of past experiences by several professional web developers. After all, even the best web developers were once newbie's too. By reading about these potential pitfalls we hope that you'll learn from the experiences of others and not make the same mistakes.

Backlink Building - Getting Excellent Results by Optimizing Your Backlinks

Anyone who wants their site to achieve a high ranking in the SERPs will have to rely on the standard backlink building process. If you are going about it the wrong way, though, all your efforts will prove fruitless. To ensure that your site receives credit for the links and that the search engines actually notice them you need to optimize them properly. The following article will provide three effective tips that will assist you in optimizing your links so you can get the best results.

When someone links to your site, you need to ensure that the link isn't in JavaScript because search engines ignore these links. Finding these links isn't easy which means you will have to check the source code of the page where your link is to find out. You need to ensure that your link appears in the right place and in the right format as well.

You also want to avoid redirect scripts, so check that your links connect directly to your site. This is because you want to make sure that people reach your site when they click on the link and not any others. Besides that, stay away from building backlinks from flash sites because Google and the other search engines don't spider these pages. If you truly want to obtain links from a flash site, then ensure that it also features an HTML page that the search engines can index and rank. It is very important that you go about link building correctly so you can better optimize your links. After all, you shouldn't spend loads of time building backlinks that are going to be useless for your SEO efforts.

Don't outsource to countries like India or Philippines merely because they charge less for backlink building work. If you compromise on quality due to the low price, you will suffer the consequences in the future. Ensuring the quality of your backlinks is critical. Your search engine rankings will suffer if you have thousands of incoming links from hate or porn sites. It's important that you have full control over the sites that are linking to you. If you really must outsource then opt for a reputable company with a good track record.

Last but not the least; don't go too fast when building backlinks. You want to systematically build your links in a natural way. Search engines frown upon fast backlinking because spammers do it that way. So if you do not want to wave any red flags, create slow and natural links. Also, try not to get into reciprocal linking because it's been frowned upon these days. If you still want to participate, then do it quietly.

The fact is, you will get much better results from your backlink building campaigns if you know how to optimize your links the right way. When you try and optimize your links according to the ways we discussed above, you'll open up more doors for traffic and get your site to rank high for your chosen keywords. So don't worry about getting thousands of links, just build quality ones gradually.

Excellent Search Engine Optimization Tips For 2012

1. Use a domain name which epitomizes the keyword that you want to rank highly for, but avoid looking spammy. The best domain names are short, contain your most relevant keywords, are memorable, and easy to spell. Bing, especially places a lot of emphasis on sites that have keywords in the domain name.

2. Invest in quality, unique content. Too many affiliates try to optimize a website that uses poor quality content pasted directly from a private label article, an offer landing page, etc. Unique content is a quality signal, and well-written content is much more likely to spontaneously generate links...which means it's much easier to optimize a website with good content.

3.Create new relevant content to your site on a regular basis (preferably daily). Adding fresh content to your blog site on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis will greatly increase the size and scope of your website site over time, ensure that search engine bots return to your site on a regular basis, and build an audience.

4. Forget about cheap automated linkbuilding tools. To get your website ranking higher in the search engine results page (serp) quicker and for longer, then you need to create good quality backlinks. Quality far out-weighs quantity any day and although initially it will take time to create these high quality backlinks, but you're website will benefit more for it in the long run.

5. Follow these standard on-site optimization guidelines:

Make sure the HTML title tag of each page uses 2 or 3 keywords, is no more than 65 characters in length, and doesn't contain stop words - "and, of, is," etc.

Use HTML header tags (H1, H2, H3), short paragraphs, and lists (UL or OL) to make your written content easy for readers to scan, and be sure to use keywords in these elements (just don't stuff keywords where they don't belong).

On the main content of your page, links are the most powerful links on a page - footer and sidebar links have fairly low value. Therefore, some of your most powerful on-site links are from in-text links in your website's articles or blogs.

Use keywords in every page's file name or URL, every image file name, etc.

When you add an image to a page, be sure to use an alt tag that contains appropriate keyword(s) relevant to the surrounding content.

Link images to pages - the "anchor text" of an image link is the text you place in the alt tag.

Don't place important content in IFRAMEs, JavaScript tags, or as text inside an image.

Don't use JavaScript or CSS tricks to try and "hide" text from the user for the purposes of fooling the search engines - this is a great way to get your site penalized by Google or Bing. This does not include hiding an occasional H2 or H3 tag being hidden.

-When you name files, avoid using underscores, capital letters or spaces - these characters can lead to broken links and/or crawling issues. Instead, use a dash to separate keywords in file names (just-like-this.html).

6. Promote your website,as if you're trying to brand yourself.Create profiles on social networking sites and befriend other people who are also interested in your own niche and take the time to keep your profiles active.Participate in forums that are related to your niche, offering good impartial advice. Invest some time to create videos and upload them to your own video sharing website channels. Although YouTube is the largest and most popular, there are plenty of other video sharing websites on the internet which will help boost your branding campaign.Pay for a quality press release submission service instead of using some spam-ridden free service. These tasks are time consuming and somewhat costly, but that's why they work.

7. Focus your SEO efforts on creating great content, and then promote that content one link at a time. Use some creativity to come up with a guide, resource, online tool, etc., that your niche might find really useful. Then, once that piece of content is created, focus on promoting that content by contacting bloggers, other site owners, etc., and asking them to review your content. If the quality is high and the content is useful, it WILL get you links.

8. Site speed matters. Increasing site speed is a great way to boost search engine traffic to an existing site. Most sites can experience dramatic speed improvements by utilizing browser caching, gzip compression, file entity and expires tags. There are also some inexpensive content delivery network (CDN) options available from Amazon and Rackspace that can dramatically reduce site load time...especially if you rely upon cheap shared hosting for your website.

Finally, when you think about SEO, think about the tortoise and the hare! Whilst quick tricks may seem like the easiest option to get the search engine results you want, the reality is that slow and steady efforts will win the race. If you want your website to rank first overall for your niche term, you've got to come up with a site that's better than all the rest. Quality counts.

Top Factors for Attaining High Search Engine Ranking

Pay attention to the information I would provide here; they are based on my several years of experience in providing search engine ranking services. There are lots of wrong pieces of information regarding SEO. Do you know that all it takes to rank higher is not far from your reach?

I have offered SEO and ranking services and advice to both big and small businesses. During these years, I've come to discover something essential; the sites that rank high usually share some common traits.

The anchor texts of the inbound links to your site

Using the anchor text from sites that link to your site, Google as well as other search engines are able to ascertain the theme of your site and determine what is best for your website in terms of ranking. Therefore, check that other sites are linking to you with both the keywords in your anchor text and URL - email them to this effect and ask them to update your link. Place your high priority keywords in the link.

Keywords featured in your title and meta tags

Meta tags have not stopped being part of the influencing factors to your rankings. Although they are no longer very weighty, meta tags work very well when it comes to placing your page in the right category. Meta tags also help to identify what search engines are likely to look out for in the course of spidering the pages. Ensure that your keywords are featured on your tags, and that the tags are well constructed.

What about the diversity of domains linking to your site?

A lot of search engines are not just concerned about how many sites link to your site, but on their diversities as well. This is the way to judge how popular your site is; this technique is quite helpful when it comes to enhancing your ranking.

Link popularity

Link popularity can be likened to Page Rank; the topic had been a subject of discussion in search engine forums for a while. There are several factors at work to assess the quality of webpages from external sources. The more popular and recognized the pages are, the more value their links add to your website.

Also, the root domain is one of the ranking factors. No doubts, you can employ dedicated pages or sub-domain to generate keywords in your URL; however, the best bait is still to have them in your root domain.

Finally, you have to continually be on the lookout for better ways of carrying out SEO campaigns to get the best result.

SEO Traffic - What Is It and How Can You Get It?

The term SEO traffic refers to visitors that come to your website through the search engines, such as Google, Bing and Yahoo, and others.

If a website ranks highly in the search engines for popular keywords, it will get a lot of visitors that would otherwise not have known about it - that's what's called SEO traffic.

When a website gets more visitors from industry keywords (rather than keywords that relate to the brand or business name), it simply means the website gets increased exposure to prospects and potential clients. And of course there is the possibility of increased sales and therefore new, lifetime customers.

To get more SEO traffic, there are several steps involved. Here is a description of the four main ones:

  • Research
  • On-page optimisation
  • Off-page optimisation
  • Monitoring and testing

Let's look at each of these steps in more detail:

Research
In this phase you need to learn more about your ideal keywords, your prospects and their buying and browsing behaviour, and your competitors. Through research you can find out which keywords your SEO campaign should focus on and which keywords are successful for your competitors.

On-page optimisation
In the on-page optimisation phase you need to take the keywords you discovered during the research phase and optimise your website for it. This means adjusting metadata of your website, title tags, image descriptions and even content and internal links.

Off-page Optimisation
Off-page optimisation is the most commonly known aspect of search engine optimisation - it means building links to your website so that its actual search engine rankings increase. However, for any truly successful SEO campaign, it is important that you also go through the other 3 steps.

Monitoring and Testing
The last and an immensely important phase of SEO is the testing phase. Here you monitor where your actual website ranks for certain keywords, how many more visitors you get, and how many of the new visitors turn into customers. In this phase you can truly recognise the positive return on investment (ROI) that SEO traffic brings. Testing your results, for example the conversion rate or the incoming links, allows you to increase your return for the same effort.

These are the four basic steps to getting more SEO traffic. Of course, the reality is a little more complex and there is a lot of research and development, as well as testing, that goes into a good SEO process.

4 SEO Tips Everyone Should Know

You can find a lot of SEO tips online ranging from beginner knowledge to advanced expertise. You may or may not understand all of those tips, but there are some very basic tips that you must understand. These are just four of the basic SEO tips everyone with a website should know and understand very well.

#1: Keyword density does matter to on-site SEO.

If you put too few keywords into your web pages, you will struggle to get them recognized and correctly categorized by the search engines. If you put too many keywords in you could be considered a spammer and your site could lose rank as the search engines believe you are not offering valuable content. This leaves website designers with the task of striking that delicate balance where the keywords are well recognized by the search engines and noticeable on the page without being a nuisance.

The keywords basically have to be there without overshadowing the valuable content on the page. The rules on how much is too much continue to change and you can get away with much lower densities today than you could in the past, but this is still something to keep your eye on for every web page you create.

It helps to start by creating the content fresh and allowing the keywords to fall where they naturally fall. You can then go back and deal with the density you want for each keyword.

#2: Less popular keywords can often be more profitable than super competitive keywords.

Most websites will target a keyword or two that is highly competitive, but that doesn't mean those keywords will be the big money-earners for the site. Often, playing up secondary keywords that aren't as popular with searchers can lead to more profits over time. This is because it is much easier to rank highly for the less competitive keywords.

Ranking high for many secondary keywords related to the main keyword can bring more attention to the website than one very competitive website. Ideally, the secondary keywords will bring faster results while the main keyword kicks in over time as ranking picks up in the more competitive market.

#3: Using improper spelling of your keywords can do more damage than good.

Many web designers and marketers will target misspellings of a popular keyword if there is a good amount of search traffic for the misspelled versions. This can be good and bad. You can win over a little more traffic, but there will be more people visiting your site who notice those misspellings and get turned off. If the entire site misspells the word then you look uneducated about your topic. If it is only misspelled on certain pages or in particular sections then it looks like sloppy writing.

One of the cardinal sins of creating website content is to feature text riddled with inaccuracies, grammatical errors, and misspelled words. It's best not to do it on purpose just to win a small amount of traffic. In many cases, you risk turning away more traffic than you pull in.

#4: Keyword variations are valuable for SEO purposes.

One effective way to keep the keyword density reasonable on a given page is to use variations of the keyword throughout the page. For instance, rather than using "white gold wedding bands" over and over you can use variations like "gold wedding bands" and "white gold bands."
